Susan Boyle set for royal performance?
Susan Boyle will sing for Britain’s Queen Elizabeth at a Diamond Jubilee celebration, according to reports.
The British songstress will be the headline act during the Royal Windsor Horse Show. She’ll take to the stage at the equestrian extravaganza with Katherine Jenkins and Michael Buble.
Insiders say show organisers were thrilled to get Susan on board.
“This show will be a major highlight of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “Susan is a huge global star and it’s a great booking for such a prestigious event.”
The event will be held later this year in May. It will be called The World Comes to Windsor, and will be screened on TV.
Susan shot to fame in 2009 after appearing in the television show Britain’s Got Talent. She has since gone on to release three albums which have been worldwide hits.
Despite her newfound wealth that has come as a product of fame, Susan still spends time at the house where she was raised.
The 50-year-old star wishes to remain grounded despite her success.
“Well it’s a council house, but it is where my mum and dad lived,” she explained recently. “You go to where your roots are, because if you don’t do that you don’t become grounded. So it’s the old Susan Boyle versus the new Susan Boyle.”
