Gwyneth Paltrow has splashed out on a designer stroller worth almost $1,000 for new mom Beyoncé Knowles.

The pair have been close friends for some years and Gwyneth was one of the first celebrities to congratulate Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z following the birth of their daughter Blue Ivy last month.

Gwyneth wanted to celebrate the new arrival and so has treated the new parents to a Cameleon stroller by Bugaboo worth around $980, reports Life & Style.

“It only makes sense for Beyoncé to have this ultrachic stroller,” an insider told the magazine. “Blue has the hottest ride!”

This isn’t the only expensive piece of baby equipment Blue Ivy will have.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z ensured they were ready for the birth of their first child by spending a fortune on a 2,200 square foot nursery for Blue Ivy.

The pair are believed to have spent $3,500 on a NurseryWorks VETRO Lucite crib for the little girl – who was born in New York City on January 7.

Jay-Z also showed his love for Beyoncé by presenting her with an impressive blue sapphire ring following the birth, while her manager also splashed out on jewellery worth $9,500 for the singer.

“Her manager ordered Tacori monogram B pendants for Beyoncé,” the publication added.

One pendant is a blue sapphire in honour of the singer’s baby, while the other is a series of diamonds in the shape of a B.
