Katy Perry has Decided to Launch her Own Record Label
As if her successful career was not enough, Katy Perry has now decided to launch a private record label. The singer wants to help emerging talent in this way. It has been a very busy time for the ‘Part of Me’ singer. Now she wants to give financial help to those aspiring singers that have talent but no backing. The recently divorced singer was speaking to The Hollywood Reporter when she revealed that she is ready for the challenge and has made some preparations.
- Giving back to the entertainment industry: Perry says that she is going to try and avoid the things that hold back singers. Perhaps she is speaking from personal experience having overcome the odds to become one of the best singers of the current period.
Katy says that there are many people coming to her for opportunities and she always thinks about how she would like to be treated. In the meantime, there has been a leak of her new music video which is going to accompany the single ‘Wide Awake’. We are thankful for that because this is one cracker!
This is the 7th cut from her album ‘Teenage Dream’ and it will be released on the 2nd of July 2012. A little girl is seen flicking through a fairytale book while looking back at the singles and videos from the album. To begin with the star is seen wrapping up her filming of the ‘California Gurls’ music video. Finally we see her taking part in the ‘Part of Me’ documentary.
Katy Perry has a great career even at just 27 years of age. She has 11 singles that have reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Having sold nearly 3.7 million albums to date, the singer is in impressive form. At the same time she will be hitting the movie screens in July with the 3D Movie titled “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D“.
