Stevie Nicks has Confirmed the 2013 Tour by Fleetwood Mac

According to Stevie Nicks there will be a 2013 Fleetwood Mac Tour. This was in direct response to Mick Fleetwood’s remarks which suggested that the band would never tour again. In any case she shot down those assertions by saying that the supergroup was going to hit the road next year. During a recent interview with Playboy Magazine, Fleetwood blamed Nicks for wrecking their plans for a reunion by extending her solo tour as well as co-headlining some dates with Rod Stewart.

-      They are coming back: Nick insists that her band leader’s fears are largely unfounded and he is premature in writing them off. She says that they plan to stage a major comeback in 2013. During an interview with CBS News the singer said that she has wrapped up her current tours and the same is true for her former lover/bandmate Lindsey Buckingham. They will consequently reunite with the fellow founder and drummer John McVie.

Although Lindsey does his own thing, Stevie believes that they are all on board now and it is a matter of time before they launch their comeback. The band told Playboy earlier this year that they had planned for and rehearsed the upcoming tour since 2010. At the time they hoped to tour in 2011 but were delayed when Stevie Nicks continued her solo record support. Meanwhile Lindsey Buckingham was busy cementing his position in the industry.

One of the most successful bands ever

Although they have not done a lot in recent years, Fleetwood Mac was a force to be reckoned with during their heyday. However their interpersonal conflicts threatened to break the threads that bound them. They last toured in 2009 and it is great to hear that they are planning to make a comeback.
