Marilyn Manson Says that he Finds it Hard to like Lady Gaga’s Music

They are both outrageous artists but there is no love lost between Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga (at least on his part). The controversial rocker says that he has a hard time liking Gaga’s music. Of course we have to remember that this is the ‘God of Fuck’. Surprisingly he says that he is a fan of Kylie Minogue and Justin Timberlake, singers who are known for the soft cheesy pop tunes. Nevertheless Manson says that he admires Lady Gaga for her hard work and commitment to her music.

How come he collaborated with her?

The pair worked on a remix of Lady Gaga’s 2009 single titled ‘Love Game’. Despite this apparent show of unity Marilyn Manson is not too keen on her musical output. He puts this down to the fact that her style is not his kind of thing despite the fact that he has diverse musical interests. However he was quick to point out that people like Gaga brought something special to the music industry because she captured people’s attention with her constantly changing looks. Marilyn insists that he does not try to get a different look every minute because things become ephemeral with a less permanent outlook.

The rocker is of the view that people like to identify with a single thing. Meanwhile Marilyn Manson plans to return to the UK in October for a joint arena tour. He will be working with Rob Zombie. The former White Zombie singer will join the self proclaimed ‘God of Fuck’ for four shows. They will start in London on the 26^th of November but the actual venue has not been confirmed yet. The next stop is the Manchester Arena on the 27^th of November before moving on to the Glasgow SECC the next day. Finally they will close the set on the 29^th of November at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

Touring in support of a studio album

These tour appearances are primarily designed to promote ‘Born Villain’, the singer’s eighth studio album which was released in May. For her part Lady Gaga acknowledges the influence that Marilyn Manson has had on her. She used her persuasive powers to get the Goth-Rocker to appear on the Chew Fu Ghettohouse Fix remix of her song. Manson could learn a thing or two about marketing. Gaga is an absolute genius at getting her name in the papers and selling records.
