Biffy Clyro have Announced a New Album Track which they have Titled ‘Stingin Belle’

You can now listen to ‘Stingin Belle’, the new album from Biffy Clyro.  It is part of their sixth studio effort and they will release it later this year if all goes according to plan.  The forthcoming double album is titled ‘Opposites’. Meanwhile the lead track was unveiled on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show on the 31st of July. A fan-ripped version is now available. The bagpipe-featuring track has so far attracted lots of attention from both the fans and the critics who are waiting to see what the band has in store for us.

-      The band talks about their efforts: Simon Neil was speaking to Zane Low during the airing of the song. The band’s frontman said that it was a rather strange situation in as much as they were revealing something that they had been working on for the past couple of years. Nevertheless it does not get any easier but the excitement justifies all the efforts that they have to go through before reaching this stage. He says that they are still a bit nervous about the launch.

The frontman was asked why they chose ‘Stingin Belle’ as the premier song for the album. He said that it was one of the first songs that really clicked when they were recording. Therefore he believes that it represents the record. In any case Simon Neil admits that the record is over-the-top but it might be the last of that kind in their catalog because they want to do something different in the future.

Setting the groundwork for their new album

The bands frontman is the first to admit that the album was weird in a musical way. Biffy Clyro has tried to follow some of the rules that dictate how music is released but they are also not going to sacrifice their creative spirit just because they are afraid of offending people. Apparently the title of the album pays homage to the opposing lyrics that are on each set. One features positive lyrics while the other is full of negative sentiment. A trailer for the new album has been released, a copy of which is available if you click on the link at the end of this article.

Meanwhile Biffy Clyro was recently added to the lineup for the iTunes Festival in London. They will also headline the Roundhouse event which is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of September this year. Zane Lowe was also a touch over-the-top about the tracked which was immediately dubbed ‘The Hottest Record in the World Today’. We expect that the Team Biffy members will be listening to the streaming single which is available on their website and the reactions to it. Here is the link that is getting everyone talking:
