Listen to the Mumford & Sons New Track ‘I Will Wait’

Fans can now listen to the new track ‘I Will Wait’. It was recently unveiled by ‘Mumford & Sons’.  The four-piece group wants to offer fans a taste of their second studio album which has been titled ‘Babel’. In fact this is the first official song from the set. Earlier this evening they let people know that they had the track in hand. It was played on Radio One. At the time Huw Stephens was sitting in for Zane Lowe. He organized an interview with Ben Lovett from the band. Surprisingly Ben says that it is the worst track on the album and they just wanted to get it out of the way. Of course it was a joke but he assures fans that it is only going to get better.

The band is confident in their latest studio efforts

The band’s debut album ‘Sigh No More’ was hugely successful and they are probably working to get yet another hit. The quartet hopes to officially release their full album on the 24th of September. Markus Dravs helped them to produce the album. He collaborated with Arcade Fire and Coldplay on some projects and was the producer for their previous album.  Lovett clearly enjoyed working with Dravs once more. He said that they did not want to do anything drastically new since things had worked out well in the past.

When asked about his favorite song in the set, Lovett said that he had not chosen yet from the songs because they were like newly born children. None of them had quite grown up so any talk of favorites was premature. The group hopes to be back in the UK again towards the end of 2012 but at the moment they are still figuring out how they are going to arrange their schedule.

-      What about the tracks? The band has already debuted some tracks from the album. These include ‘Ghosts that we Knew’ and ‘Lover’s Eyes’. This happened during their live shows and it was an opportunity for the fans to see what was actually going to be on the record.

Currently ‘Mumford & Sons’ are in North America doing their ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ tour. Last month they played a number of UK shows. Lovett says that the band has grown closer as a result of the work that they are doing on the record and that somehow their songs seem like a natural progression.

Here is the tracklisting for the album
