The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion have Unveiled a Trailer for their New Album ‘Meat and Bone’

A new album by ‘The John Spencer Blues Explosion’ is soon going to hit the market. However at the moment we have been granted access to a recently unveiled trailer for ‘Meat and Bone’. In fact this is the band’s ninth LP as well as being their first album in nearly eight years. The official release date for the album is the 17th of September. It is a follow-up to ‘Damage’ which came out in 2004. They will release it under their shortened name ‘Blues Explosion’. It has 12 tracks, the opening of which is ‘Black Mold

It was recorded at the Key Club Recording Studio in Benton Harbor (Michigan). However it was written and mixed in New York. Previously John Spencer spoke about the album and said that they still had the psychic glue that allowed them to make music in the past. As they toured, recorded and wrote new songs their shared history came back to them. Now they are going back to their roots after circling the wagons. In fact he says that this is like their first album.

They released their self-titled debut record in 1992. However of recent ‘The John Spencer Blues Explosion’ has been very silent. Now they are coming up with the album ‘Meat and Bone’ which includes the following tracks:

Meanwhile ‘The John Spencer Blues Explosion’ plans a European tour in the autumn. They will play at the Electric Ballroom in London on the 3rd of December. Their other dates are as follows
