Cher Lloyd Says that the Single ‘Want U Back’ Explains Her
She says that it has a lot of attitude and that is something that Cheryl Lloyd is familiar with. The singer was explaining the ethos behind her new single ‘Want U Back’. Interestingly she tells MTV News that her attitude is a good thing. This happened as she went along on an ‘X Factor’ UK Alum tour. The spunky pop singer has taken on the same path as the lucky losers ‘One Direction’. Like them she missed out on the top prize but went on to discover that she was doing much better than the person that took the top prize in the competition. In fact she was 4th in the 7th season of the British singing competition. That did not deter her. Since that time she has landed a number 1 single and a top five album within the United Kingdom.
A catchy tune and a determine singer
She hopes to conquer the USA with the catchy tune of ‘Want U Back’. The documentary-type program was titled ‘Cher Lloyd: a Day in Her Life’. She says that the new song is an explanation of what she is and what she wants to be. This was during a private meet-and-greet event which was followed by an intimate performance. The cheeky song is likely to be a hit with a certain segment of the US music fan club. Currently it has been certified gold and it dominates the airwaves stateside. The can’t-get-it-out-of-your-head melody is accompanied by unmistakable grunting.
When asked about the guttural sound she says that she was in the studio and could not hit a particular note. She then made the sound which the producers decided to keep. The songstress has been blessed by an adoring fanbase which she calls ‘Bratz’. It is quite similar to the way in which ‘One Directioners’ protect their band with almost obsessive love. Cheryl Lloyd says that they are brats but in a good way. Apparently they know what they want and try to get it in any way they can. In October the singer will be dropping her album titled ‘Sticks + Stones’. It will include a new version of ‘Want U Back’ which features Snoop Dogg.
