Kanye West has decided to Delay the Release of his G.O.O.D Music Compilation Album ‘Cruel Summer’
Apparently Kanye West intends to delay the release of his G.O.O.D music compilation album. ‘Cruel Summer’ will be held up for about two weeks. It features acts that are signed up to the singer’s record label including Kid Cudi, Mr Hudson, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz. The rapper will also be making an appearance. Previously we were told that it was scheduled to come out at the beginning of August but a new date of the 4th of September was suggested. Now they have put that further back to the 18th of September. Is it going be a cruel summer for West?
The explanations for the delay
Malik Yusef who is also a member of the G.O.O.D music group took to twitter to explain that four new features caused them to reconsider the release date. For example they had a contribution from Mos Def which had to be reworked into the original lineup. Apparently the contributors also wanted to make some changes which the production team agreed to. The album is inspired by a 30-minute experimental film which goes by the same name. It made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year to critical acclaim.
During its launch, the movie was projected onto seven screens inside a tent that was shaped like a Pyramid. The project starred Kid Cudi as a car thief. He falls in love with a blind Arabian Princess and this sets them off on an adventure. The artwork for the album is going to be based on similar themes and a copy was recently released to online outlets. Meanwhile fans will have to wait for Kanye West and his group to come up with the goods in a few weeks time. Click the link below to see what is cooking at G.O.O.D Music:
