The EuroMillions Lottery Winner Wants to Reunite the Original Gun N’ Roses Line-up
Money cannot buy you happiness but it can make your life easier. That is probably the philosophy that the recent EuroMillions Lottery Winner is going to take as he spends his money. Apparently one of his ambitions is to reunite the original line-up of the Gun N’ Roses. Life changed completely for Adrian Bayford when it was confirmed that he had won £148 million on the mega lotto game. However he has some rather touching ambitions. The winner says that he would love to see Slash and Axl together on stage once more.

On Friday Adrian Bayford was revealed as the winner of the astonishing jackpot on the EuroMillions Lottery. The 41 year old now had the enviable task of finding ways to spend his money. Prior to this momentous change in his life, he operated a music shop in Haverhill (Suffolk). During an interview with the Sun newspaper he said that his dream was to reunite the estranged rockers. He now says that he could quite happily spend some of his newfound fortune to get the group together again. The ‘real fan’ wants to splash the cash. Will the band respond?
Steven Adler the drummer was fired in 1990 despite the fact that he was part of the original line-up which recorded the hugely successful ‘Appetite for Destruction’. The following year Izzy Stradlin quit the group. Slash followed suit five years later. In 1997 Duff McKagan the bassist followed the rest out of the door. Meanwhile Stradlin and McKagan joined the new line-up on stage at various events. It is now 20 years since Slash last performed with Axl Rose on stage. Earlier this week the current members of Guns N’ Roses announced that they were taking on a 12-date residency at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas during October.
They will play a run of shows which the veteran rockers have called ‘Appetite for Democracy’. The setlist promised is going to be career-spanning in its scope.
