Three New Tracks by Becks have Just Been Unveiled

If you are a fan of Beck then there will be lots of samples to listen to. Three new tracks by the band have been released online. Follow the links at the end of this article to see samples. Apparently the tracks were written for ‘Sound Shapes’, the PlayStation 3 game suite. The first is ‘Cities’, the second is ‘Touch the People’ and the third is ‘Spiral Staircase’. The video for the songs features footage of the popular gaming series.

Just last week the singer announced that he would be releasing a brand new album. However the difference was that it would not be the conventional set of pleasant tracks for the fans. Instead he would be presenting individual sheets of music which the fans would be at liberty to play and add a new dimension. ‘Song Reader’ was the title that was chosen to accompany the revolutionary concept.

The sheet music set that is about to be released by Beck will be handled by Faber & Faber, the respected publishers who have given credence to a project that would otherwise raise eyebrows. The new release is expected to be dropped sometime in December this year. It will consist of notation form pieces which are 20 in number. They will be unreleased and unrecorded songs thus fans may feel that they are being given a fresh start. The publishers released a statement saying that the unique release was driven by a desire to create songs that bring life to the genre.

All the sheet music in the Beck release will come with a full color artwork set. There is also a hardcover carrying case. Two of them are instrumentals but there are also some significant highlights including ‘Don’t Act like Your Heart Isn’t Hard’ as well as ‘Do We? We Do’. Just in may the singer produced a one-off track which was produced by Jack White. He used White’s Third Man Records label to release ‘I Just Started Hating Some People Today’. You can also catch ‘Blue Randy’ on the B-Side. Here are some YouTube links to the songs by Beck that have just come out:
