Lil Wayne has Delayed his Dedication 4 to Amplify 2 Chainz Album

Fans will have to wait a bit longer for Lil Wayne to release his Dedication 4 to Amplify 2 Chainz album. The Gangsta Grillz mixtape has been held back by Weezy. He had wanted to release the set in order to spotlight a close friend 2 Chainz’s ‘Based on A T.R.U. Story’. The music has to stop when it comes to family. Working with his YMCMB cohorts, Weezy has been able to build a New Orleans empire with family values at the heart of it. He applied the same rules when it came to the release of his upcoming ‘Dedication 4 Gangsta Grillz mixtape’.

-      Refusing to be rushed: When it came to ‘I Am Not a Human Being II’, there was no rush for Lil Wayne. A report has been released on DJ Scoob Doo’s BreadOverBed.com website. It states that the rapper has delayed the release of the DJ Drama-helmed project so that he can give breathing room to 2 Chainz and his debut album ‘Based On A T.R.U’

He says that he had to give consideration to his homeboy who dropped his new album on the 14th of August. Lil Wayne said this following his performance with Nick Minaj in New York City. The rapper says that this is a great friend and he refuses to hog all the attention at such an important point in his musical career. He promises that he will release his own material in another week or so after his friend has had a chance to enjoy the limelight.

Being there for your friends

Although Lil Wayne may not strike you as the ‘family values’ type at first glance, he seems to genuinely care for his friends. He has never been known to go back on his word. For example following the news of the Dedication 4 delay, he dropped the first offering from the mixtape over 2 Chainz and Drake’s club anthem titled ‘No Lie’. We will soon know when he plans to release his material after his friend has had his debut.

The two friends go way back to the days when the Atlanta-born rapper was performing under the name MC Tity Boi as part of the Playaz Circle group.  They collaborated on one of the group’s biggest records in the guise of ‘Duffle Bag Boy’. In fact 2 Chainz joined Lil Wayne for his performance on MTV2’s Unplugged’ show in 2011. The relationship is further cemented in the new T.R.U Story since Weezy appears on the intro for ‘Yuck’. Here is a sample of the rapper doing his stuff:
