On her New Album Taylor Swift is Red with Emotion
Taylor has swiftly moved to another gear in her latest album.
When asked about the inspiration for her latest album Taylor Swift quipped that the color Red is bold and that is what she wanted to do. Recently the star was giving an interview ahead of her exploits at the forthcoming 2012 VMA ceremony which is scheduled for Thursday. Her new record has been causing quite a stir in the social media circles especially given the fact that she used YouTube as an introductory prop.
- Love wrangles and revenge songs: Typically Swift has written about her past relationships and this got her into trouble on more than one occasion. This trend started in 2006 despite stiff opposition from her ex partners. ‘Red’ is going to come out on the 22nd of October.
Is this a heartfelt plea or a glib reference to a discarded lover? The singer says that the new album signifies the intense and bold emotions that one feels when in love. She was opening up during the ‘MTV First: Taylor Swift’ segment of the show. This is when she premiered the music video for the lead single on the album. ‘We are never getting back together’ has been so successful that some major bands are also taking up covers of the track. She says that all the songs are written from the perspective of those emotions which provided her inspiration for the work.
Choosing red for a very important engagement
It is quite obvious that Taylor Swift loves the color red. You just have to look at her red lips which have become something of a trademark. She admits to a penchant for red shoes and lipstick. It is the theme for the moment and she has cleverly incorporated it into her latest album. Each song is designed to tackle a different subject even if they are all inspired by the same basic theme. In any case the singer is looking for originality even if she puts so much stall by her work in all its forms.
According to her the songs stand out musically without having to depend on the prevailing themes within the entire album segment. These differences are sonically and emotionally distinct in a pattern that has been described as being a patchwork quilt. Taylor Swift admits that she has been influenced by different things in all her art. For purposes of illustration she picks out the song ‘I Knew you were trouble’ which she credits for reflecting her true emotions. She is very excited that people will get an opportunity to hear it.
