Chad Kroeger has Said that He Does not Care about the World’s Opinion on his Wedding to Avril Lavigne

We can safely assume that this is not going to be a reality television-type contest where you select the best bride for the groom. In fact Chad Kroeger has gone as far as stating that he does not really care about what the world thinks about his forthcoming wedding to Avril Lavigne. Why should anyone care? She is a major celebrity and he is in a band. The age difference is neither here nor there. You can ask Hugh Heffner on that one. Collectors of memorabilia and celebrity tidbits might be interested to know that this couple got together on Canada Day.
- Setting the record straight: The Nickelback member has spoken about the media reaction to his recent engagement. A spokesperson for the couple confirmed that the pair who had been dating for just six months has decided to go all the way and tie the knot. Their secret engagement took place earlier this month and they met in February when he co-wrote a song for her fifth studio album.
Some in the celebrity circles were baffled by the news of the wedding and they let their feelings be known but he is not bothered in the least what they think about the affair. Chad Kroeger says that they are both very happy. That is how it should be unless you want the entire Paparazzi pack to come after you. While speaking to People Magazine, he said that he tries not to get too worked up about the world’s opinion.
An engagement with a patriotic twinge
The couple started dating on the 1st of July, a very important day for all patriotic Canadians. He says that it is very cool that their anniversary will always be on this special day and that they cannot wait to start their life together. She was previously married to Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 but that marriage ended in 2009. Avril Lavigne was later linked to Brody Jenner (the American TV star who also happens to be Kim Kardashian’s step bro). That relationship ended at the beginning of this year. Chad Kroeger is ten years her senior and has never been married before. Maybe that is why 31 people thought that the marriage was a sign of The Apocalypse. The couple does not care either way.
