A Label Boss has Confirmed that Chad Kroeger is going to Record an Album with his Fiancé Avril Lavigne

Recently Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne announced their engagement after a short period of courtship. Now we hear that they are going to record an album together. This was confirmed via a record label boss. LA Reid said that the new album will be dropped later this year. He should know something about it since he works for Epic Records which has been working for the star. Last year Lavigne spent a lot of time working on the follow-up to her 2011 titled ‘Goodbye Lullaby’. It is not entirely clear whether all the material will be jointly done or whether they are going to pick areas for specialization.
- Working together as a couple: During an interview with Billboard, the boss confirmed that Avril Lavigne had nearly completed her new album and would be releasing it soon. He also said that she had worked with her future husband and that the record was really good.
Currently they are doing the mixing process in preparation for the release. Time is flying but he feels that they may be able to get it out before the end of the year. However if that does happen then it will be top of the New Year. For those who are celebrity watchers, it is notable that this is the second time that Lavigne has recorded extensively with her partner. She worked with Deryck Whibley the Sum 41 frontman on six songs for the album ‘Goodbye Lullaby’. Ironically they split in 2009.
A quick engagement followed by a record
A spokesperson for the couple confirmed that the pair (who had been dating for six months) would get married having gotten engaged earlier in the month. Meanwhile LA Reid will be returning to the judging panel for The X Factor USA which happened today. This is all part of a new-look lineup that features the debut appearances of Demi Lovato and Britney Spears.
