Big Sean and 2 Chainz ‘Swerve’ During the G.O.O.D Music Dance-Off Series
Are you ready for a dance-off? G.O.O.D does the business.
The record label is doing more than merely nurturing its talent. Now 2 Chainz and Big Sean of G.O.O.D music have been swerving in the music dance-off by the label. They bickered over who had the better dance moves. This is ahead of the release of ‘Cruel Summer’, the famous project that involves Kanye West and host of other celebrities. Last week everything seemed fine but now it seems that there is something brewing.
- Where and how did the fracas start? The conflicts started on the 3rd of September. This was three days prior to the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. At that point 2 Chainz claimed that he was the best dancer during an interview with MTV News. The boasting artist warned Chris Brown to watch out. He then proceeded to bust a few moves for the camera at the Staples Center. Apparently Usher does not touch him.
This humble brag did not bother the two acts mentioned. Nevertheless Big Sean the G.O.O.D Music homey took exception to the boasts and urged the fans the reexamine the ‘Mercy’ video. Both Sean and 2 Chainz appear in that segment. He then said that he had the best moves during an interview held on the 5th of September.
Childish spats and real talent
For the uninitiated we will break it down like this: ‘Swerve’ refers to the dance that Big Sean showcased (rather prominently) during the ‘Mercy Video’. It was incidentally shot in black and white. The Finally Famous MC is then seen waving his hands to and fro almost as if he is steering a rather large car. This shimmy has become a firm favorite in clubs across the USA. Needless to say 2 Chainz is not too impressed with it. Although he is closely affiliated with the G.O.O.D music brand, he is not officially signed to the record label. Therefore he can afford to be skeptical about their artistic choices.
He said that the ‘Swerve’ is just one move but he has multiple moves to counter it. For example he is famous for this frantic two-step in which he throws his hands in the air as if playing maracas and spins in a circle. You can see this move during his video with Nicki Minaj in ‘Beez in the Trap’. Obviously the fans will have the final say.
