Led Zeppelin have Posted a Video Teaser Ahead of their Expected Announcement of an O2 Concert DVD
Catch the teaser from the Zeppelin DVD…It is now available.
A number of websites now allow you to watch the video teaser from Led Zeppelin which precedes their expected announcement of the O2 Concert DVD. The clip lasts for just 16 seconds but it is enough to indicate that the band will make a big announcement of their live DVD. The full video will feature the band’s reunion in 2007 which was staged at the O2 Arena. They played the Ahmet Ertegun Concert in December that year at the London venue. Up to this point a DVD of the event had never been released but now it seems that the band has decided to share it with their fans.
Keeping the fans guessing
In reality the video does not reveal much. It simply features Led Zeppelin’s four runes logo. There is noise in the background which is presumably the audience cheering the band. However a full version of the planned DVD is likely to be out in time for the Christmas festivities. Certainly an anonymous source told The Sun that this was the case. It is said that Jimmy Page spent the last few months working on this DVD and that the results are very impressive.
They want the DVD to be perfect according to the source and are willing to put in the hours to ensure that this happens. Led Zeppelin has always had exceptionally high standards and it would be inconceivable for them to put something substandard on the market at this point of their career. According to the source the new DVD was likely to be dropped on the 22nd of November as part of a global release.
Previously the band’s frontman Robert Plant had ruled out a reunion during an interview which was held in 2011 with the Rolling Stone magazine. Apparently he believed that he had gone somewhere from where he could no longer relate to the old band.
