This is the latest in various entertainment collaborations that are hitting the market today. The band ‘Florence and the Machine’ has teamed up with the ‘Late Night’ presenter Jimmy Fallon for some fun and entertainment. Will you be watching the video clip? The band’s frontwoman Florence Welch joined the TV star to create a protest song titled ‘Balls in your Mouth’. Together they gave a rousing rendition of the song. It is a song that he wrote in 2010 with specific reference to tar balls washing up on the short in the wake of the notorious BP Oil spill.

-      New events provide even further inspiration: This move to create a protest song comes after the Hurricane Isaac recently caused old tar balls to reach US shores once more, to the chagrin of the local residents. The show was also an opportunity for the band to perform their UK Number One hit titled ‘Spectrum (Say my Name)’

Meanwhile we hear that ‘Florence and the Machine’ will head back to UK shores during a whirlwind tour that takes place this December. They have gigs at the Exeter Westpoint Arena to start off the series on the 4th of December. The final date for the tour will be the 10th when the band plays at the Liverpool Echo Arena. During this trek they will have stops at the O2 Arena in London and the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. You can also catch them at the AECC in Aberdeen.

The band is mixing album releases with new engagements

Recently ‘Florence and the Machine’ released their second album titled ‘Ceremonials’. This was in October 2011. Florence Welch also revealed that she is thinking of a follow-up and has even written a whole album in her head. Here is the itinerary for the band:

4th Dec                    Exeter Westpoint Arena

5th Dec                    London O2 Arena

8th Dec                    Coventry Ricoh Arena

9th Dec                    Aberdeen AECC

10th Dec                  Liverpool Echo Arena

Tickets for the gigs will go on sale starting Friday the 14th of September at 9am BST.
