The 2007 Reunion Gig Video is Going to be Released by Led Zeppelin

A reunion video is about to be
offered: Zeppelin fans are to
be rewarded.

It was rather unusual for a band not to record one of the highlights of their career but Led Zeppelin did not immediately put out a video of their 2007 reunion gig. Now they are making amends. The band has promised to release the video. It will be a fitting tribute to the first gig for the rock legends in 27 long years. You can catch it on the 19th of November this year when it hits the stores. All week they have been putting out teasers almost as if to work their fans into frenzy. Finally they made the official announcement which everybody had been waiting for.

This is ‘Celebration Day’ and the title is fitting for the occasion. It will feature footage of the band as they performed during their reunion event. The series was in aid of Ahmet Ertegun, the late Atlantic Records founder. The group performed at the O2 Arena in London to a packed crowd. The found members Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page were joined by Jason Bonham. He is the son of their late drummer John Bonham. They performed a two-hour set with lots of classics including ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘Whole Lotta Love’, ‘Kashmir’ and ‘Rock and Roll

Tickets are in high demand

As many as 20 million people have already expressed interest in the hot tickets for the gig. In the event the actual performance on the 10th of December 2007 was a great triumph for Led Zeppelin.  A lottery was organized and only 18,000 managed to win those precious tickets. ‘Celebration Day’ is going to be shown in cinemas from the 17th of October this year. There are premiers from the 13th of September. A general DVD release is planned for the 19th of November. Here is the proposed tracklisting:
