You can say that again: Is this one of the most repetitive song titles ever? Madness Announces a New Album Titled ‘Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da’

You can say that again: Is this one
of the most repetitive song titles
ever?

One can hardly fault the band Madness for their sense of mischievousness when they selected an album title as follows: ‘Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da‘. However there has to be a limit to the number of ways you can say yes in an album title before becoming tedious. In any case this is their 10th studio album so they must know something about the entertainment business. It is expected that the new album will come out officially on the 29th of October this year.

-      A unique approach to album releases: The Ska legends have been in this business for a long time and they are not afraid to take a few risks. Their artwork for this project was designed by the British artist known as Sir Peter Blake. You will note that he designed the ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ sleeve in 1967 for the Beatles. It was an iconic achievement that has been a prop for his marvelous career.

We know that the first single from the album is titled ‘My Girl 2’. It will come out earlier on the 22nd of October. This follows the release of the track ‘Death of a Rude Boy’ which came out as a free download in August. Madness has a busy schedule even with their album work. They performed at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony, rousing the crowd with a rendition of their classic hit ‘Our House’. They also took part in the iTunes Festival on the 27th of September. The band is set to tour the UK this autumn with a string of dates as part of the ‘Charge of the Mad Brigade Tour’. This is their biggest event of such a kind to date.
