Christina Aguilera Strips for New Album Cover
The mentor of ‘The Voice’
considers the new album as a
‘rebirth.’
Christina Aguilera has posed nude on the cover of her upcoming album ‘Lotus.’ The 31-year old singer shared the cover art for the new CD to her followers on Twitter through an October 5 post. The record is scheduled for a November 13 release.
On the controversial art work, Aguilera posed without any clothing. Her blond hair served as a covering for certain upper body parts. The lower portion of her physique is shaded by white smoke-like effect. It looked like she is emerging from a lotus flower, with her arms extended.
The photograph logically suits the single ‘Your Body.’ In certain scenes in the music video of the track, Aguilera also appeared almost naked, covered by sheer, pink cloth. In an interview, Aguilera said she is now ready to reveal another facet of herself.
Aguilera has gone through many issues since the release of her last album (the one before this one). The singer has become one of the mentors for the hit TV show ‘The Voice.’ She has also gone through a divorce. Now, Aguilera considers her new album a symbol of a rebirth. In her own words, she said ‘Lotus’ is all about completely understanding and loving herself.
The singer has released six albums before ‘Lotus.’ She has also come out with a greatest hit album. The music video for the first single from the CD ‘Your Body’ is already out.
Meanwhile, Aguilera last month announced her decision to leave ‘The Voice.’ In a separate interview about that move, she said she has to go on a tour and meet fans so she can feel creatively fulfilled. Only then, she added, would she again be able to do the tedious task of serving as a coach on the popular show.
