Mogwai To Release Remix Album ‘A Wretched Virile Lore’ Next Month
Scottish band Mogwai is set to release on November 19 a new CD featuring remix versions of the tracks from its 2010 album.
Pop rock band Mogwai has announced the release of a new CD, which will be a compilation of remixed songs from its 2010 album ‘Hardcore will Never Die, But You Will.’ The remix album, entitled ‘A Wretched Virile Lore,’ will be released by Rock Action label in Europe. It will be out as a CD, a limited edition colored vinyl, and a digital format download on November 19. In North America, the same album will be released on November 23 by Sub Pop, while the CD and digital versions will be distributed starting December 4. ‘A Wretched Virile Lore’ will feature reworked and remixed versions by Tim Hecker, The Soft Moon, and RM Hubbert.
Mogwai is a Scottish post-rock group formed in Glasgow in 1995. The band members are: Stuart Braithwaite on vocals and guitar, John Cummings on vocals and guitar, Barry Burns on piano, Dominic Aitchison on bass guitar, and Martin Bulloch on drums. Mogwai is known for composing lengthy instrumental pieces accompanied by guitar that also feature dynamic contrast, heavy distortion and effects, and melodic bass guitar lines. The band has already released eight albums, including ‘Hardcore will Never Die, But You Will,’ its latest.
