Ne-Yo Releases another Single from Upcoming Album

The R&B singer teams up with rapper Wiz Khalifa for a new track off his soon-to-be released CD.

Ne-Yo’s new album ‘R.E.D’ is set to be released on November 7, 2012. It may be still a month away but the singer has just released another single from that CD. The song ‘Don’t Make ‘Em Like You’ is actually the third single released from that album. It will be a follow up to earlier hits ‘Let Me Love You’ and ‘Lazy Love,’ which were out last spring and summer.

Don’t Make ‘Em Like You’ is a radio-friendly track. In the song, Ne-Yo sings his praises for an extraordinary woman. According to industry observers, the single can be considered as a thematic relative of the artist’s 2008 hit song ‘Miss Independent.’

There is more to the song. Rapper Wiz Khalifa has agreed to be part of the record. ‘Don’t Make ‘Em Like You’ is the first collaboration between the two recording artists. In his performance, Khalifa has unveiled his gentler side. It is noted that he has chanted several verses that talk about marriage and having children. Khalifa, in one of his interviews, even revealed that the lyrics he did for this song is dedicated to model Amber Rose, his fiancée.

According to some reviews, the song prettily represents love as well as relationships, which can typically be expected from Ne-Yo. ‘R.E.D’ stands for ‘Realizing Every Dream.’ The new album will be the singer’s fifth studio CD. It was originally entitled ‘The Cracks in Mr. Perfect’ but the title was soon changed for undisclosed reasons. The first single ‘Lazy Love’ was out last June, while the second ‘Let Me Love You’ was unveiled last July. The release date of the CD was postponed from September 18, 2012 to November 7, 2012.
