The Vaccines Headlines Annual Jack Daniel’s Birthday Event
The quarter has topped the list of performers who were initially asked to join the group.
The Vaccines spearheaded the list of performers that graced the annual Jack Daniel’s birthday show this year. The band played in an intimate gig before an audience that consists mainly of competition winners. The event was held at Devil’s Arse cave in Castleton, Derbyshire.
The four-man band played a set that lasted about an hour. It was noted that band members were not all in their denims and they distinctly lack facial hair. The songs performed by the group during the night were culled from its 2011 debut CD ‘What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?’ and from its latest album ‘The Vaccines Come of Age.’
According to some people who were also in the event, The Vaccines was warmly received by the audience. Fans were raving when the band played their favorites like ‘Norgaard’ and ‘Wreckin’ Bar (Ra Ra Ra). The audience also enjoyed the performance of the latest single ‘No Hope,’ which was the most applauded song performed by the band during the night.
Before The Vaccines was put on stage, Tribes and Mystery Jets were also tasked to perform in the show. Tribes played a short set that includes two brand new tracks, ‘Flakes’ and ‘Two Doors Down.’ The band showed off Beatles-like sound. For its part, the Mystery Jets played its greatest hit set. Among the crowd favorites form the band were ‘Flakes’ and ‘Two Doors Down.’
