Elton John and Snoop Dogg to headline the upcoming Bestival.

The Knife, MIA, The Flaming Lips and The Roots are also included on the line-up.

The English singer, songwriter, rocker, pianist, composer and actor Sir Elton Hercules John or famously known to his stage name Elton John is set to headline the upcoming Bestival this year along with The American singer, songwriter, rapper and actor Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. better known as Snoop Dogg.

“The Bridge” singer “Elton John” will lead the festival on the 8th of September (Sunday). This will be his only UK festival appearance in 2013. On the other hand, Snoop Dogg is set to take the centre stage on the 7th of September (Saturday) while the final headline act for the festival is still not confirmed which will be on the 5th to 8th of September which will be held at the Robin Hill Country Park in Isle Of Wight.

Elton leaved an statement about the slot saying: “I haven’t played any of the major festivals in the UK in recent years, so when the opportunity to play Bestival came up I was very interested. I’ve heard the Bestival audience comes in fancy dress and I can’t wait to see that, they must all look amazing from the stage”.

He also added: “At various times I wore enormous feathered head dressed cloaks, hot pants, jumpsuits, clown suits, a Minnie Mouse outfit, French Maid, The Eiffel Tower and The Statue Of Liberty. Wearing fancy dress makes us all feel less inhibited so I think it’s a great way to enjoy live music”.
