The Primal Scream has announced new album titled “More Light”
The album will be the band’s 10th album and are set to be release on May 6 this year.
The British alternative rock band “Primal Scream” has announced details about their upcoming new album titled “More Light” which is scheduled to be released on the 6th of May this year.
The frontman of Primal Scream “Bobby Gillespie” has revealed the details about the album which is also the follow up of their 2008 album titled “Beautiful Future”. Gillespie talk to Lauren Laverne’s BBC Radio 6 Music show yesterday morning. He said: “It’s a rock n’ roll record, but modern rock n’ roll. Pretty psychedelic rock, it’s kind of guitar driven but we use guitars in an orchestral way, not in the normal way people make rock records. I think we do it in a more interesting way. We weave the guitars in with electronics and other acoustic instruments to make the core sound.
On the other hand, Gillespie also confirmed that David Holmes will produce the album. He also revealed that Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Mark Stewart of The Pop Group will have an appearance in the album.
Moreover, the Primal Scream is scheduled to headline the upcoming Wickerman Festival this summer. The festival will takes place on the 26th and 27th of July in East Kirkcarswell, near Dundrennan Scotland. The band will be playing the opening night in those two dates.
Primal Scream originally formed at Glasgow in the year 1982, the band consists with Bobby Gillespie in the vocals, Andrew Innes at the guitar, Debbie Googe with bass, Martin Duffy on keyboards and Darrin Mooney with the drums.
The band’s 1991 album titled Screamadeica is what changes them. Even with many changes in the line up, they still remained commercially successful and at the same time have a continues tours and record.
