A three minute video showing Jay-Z, Timbaland, Rick Rubin and Pharrell Williams chatting about music was unveiled as part of a Samsung commercial during the Game 5 of the NBA finals in the United States. Jay-Z is coming out with a new free album titled “Magna Carta Holy Grail” and the rapper will release the album through a promotional deal with Samsung. The company will be getting digital copies of the album for about one million of its customers and have paid $5 million to Jay-Z for the music rights. This is a big deal as Jay-Z’s 12^th studio album will surely go platinum before its release. This album is available for free access before its July release for mobile users who downloads an app of the company.

Andy Copping, the chief curator of Download Music Festival, is looking to bring back the original Guns’N’Roses team to perform at the Downtown music festival at some time in the future. If Copping manages to do this, then you will see Izzy Stradlin, Steven Adler, Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan perform together on stage for the first time since their last performance together in 1990. He is dying to see Van Halen and Led Zeppelin reunite and headline the Downtown music festival very soon in the near future. He is quite hopeful that this will happen someday. Now, Copping has already started working on the headlining part of the festival for the year 2014.

This will be first time ever that the legendary rockers The Rolling Stones will be setting the Glastonbury festival stage on fire as they have agreed to perform at the festival and they would rock Glastonbury for a total of about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Rolling Stones will be headlining the festival on Saturday at 9:30 pm and are slotted to perform until 11:45 pm. The Glastonbury festival takes place from the 26^th to 30^th of this month at Somerset’s Worthy Farm. It is one of the most eagerly awaited music festivals every year and there are a lot of star singers and bands set to perform at this electrifying music festival.

Placebo band has just unveiled the tracklisting of their brand new album titled “Loud Like Love” for their fans. The first single of the new album, ‘Too Many Friends’, would be released on July 9^th. This 7^th new album from Placebo will be releasing on September 16^th and has a total of 10 songs. This new Placebo album is produced by Adam Noble and its recording works were done at RAK Studios in London. Placebo also plans to perform a lot of gigs in order to promote their new album with performances in December at Birmingham O2 Academy, Glasgow O2 Academy, Manchester O2 Apollo and London O2 Academy.

It was the veteran rock bands from Britain that stole the limelight during the 11^th annual UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards by winning the top awards category. Black Sabbath band, who are currently riding very high after their new album “13” climbed to the top position of the British charts this Sunday, won the best album award for 13. Motorhead won the Golden Gods award for making a significant contribution to the world of rock music for the past four decades. The award was received by 67 year old front man Lemmy from Guns’N’Roses Velvet revolver and Duff McKagan, the Loaded’s bassist.
